This policy applies to the website www.anbernic.games ("Site"), on which DM SOLUZIONI ICT s.r.l. ("DM-ICT") operates as the provider of registration and sales services, the Site manager, and the controller of the Users' Personal Data collected through it.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files sent from the site to the user's terminal (usually the browser), where they are stored before being retransmitted to the site upon the same user's next visit. A cookie cannot retrieve any other data from the user's hard drive, transmit computer viruses, or acquire email addresses. Each cookie is unique to the user's web browser. Some cookie functions may be delegated to other technologies. In this document, the term "cookie" refers both to cookies, strictly speaking, and to all similar technologies.
Types of Cookies
Cookies can be first-party or third-party, where "first-party" refers to cookies that use the website's domain, while "third-party" refers to cookies that use external domains.
Third-party cookies are necessarily installed by an external entity, always referred to as a "third party," not managed by the website. These entities may also install first-party cookies by storing their own cookies on the website's domain.
Nature of Cookies
Regarding the nature of cookies, there are different types:
1) Technical cookies: Technical cookies are those used for the sole purpose of "carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network, or to the extent strictly necessary for the provider of an information society service explicitly requested by the subscriber or user to provide such service" (see Article 122, paragraph 1, of the Code).
They are not used for other purposes and are normally installed directly by the website owner or operator. They can be divided into:
• navigation or session cookies, which ensure normal navigation and use of the website (allowing, for example, a purchase or authentication to access restricted areas); they are, in fact, necessary for the proper functioning of the site;
• analytics cookies, similar to technical cookies when used directly by the site operator to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and how they visit the site, in order to improve the site's performance;
• functionality cookies, which allow the user to navigate based on a set of selected criteria (for example, language, products selected for purchase) in order to improve the service provided. The installation of these cookies does not require the prior consent of users (more information in the Cookie Management section below).
2) profiling cookies: profiling cookies are designed to create user profiles and are used to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the user while browsing the internet.
The use of profiling cookies requires the user's consent.
Cookies installed on this site
This site uses only first- and third-party technical cookies; profiling cookies that require the user's express consent are not used.
Here is a list of technical cookies (logically grouped by functionality or provider) present on this site. Third-party cookies provide a link to the privacy policy of the relevant external provider, where you can find a detailed description of the individual cookies and their processing.
System cookies: The site uses cookies to provide the user with a better browsing experience; these cookies are essential for proper use of the site. You can disable these cookies from your browser by following the instructions in the dedicated section, but this will compromise your experience on the site, and we cannot be held responsible for any malfunctions.
Cookie duration
Cookies have a duration dictated by the expiration date (or by a specific action such as closing the browser) set at the time of installation.
Cookies can be:
• temporary or session cookies: These are used to store temporary information, allowing you to link actions performed during a specific session, and are removed from your computer when you close your browser;
• permanent cookies: These are used to store information, such as your login name and password, so you don't have to re-enter them each time you visit a specific site. These cookies remain stored on your computer even after you close your browser.
